I have been wanting to start a mini art series for a long time. Finally got down to researching little birds for it. I'm really amazed with the amount of beautiful birds that exist in this world. So colorful and so graceful. As a start I decided to sketch this really beautiful Vermilion Flycatcher found in South America. What really caught my attention is the stark red on it's crown, chest and underparts. It was so much fun bringing them alive through color pencils.
