What better way to start a big comic art piece but with my favourite series - Tintin. This art is the famous comic cover of the edition 'Explorers on the Moon'. There is hardly any kid in the world whose childhood doesn't include the iconic red rocket and the orange space suits. As a kid, comics used to be a rare phenomenon usually designated to train travels during summer holidays. While those comics are still close to my heart, Tintin was a privilege of few. I remember as little kid, my brother getting some of these original comics from one of his friend who lent it to us for a specific period of time. Both of us had to finish reading it within that time frame. Obviously studies took a back seat when such a treasure lands in your hands. Today I have my own collection of these comics. It's for keeps. Once a while I keep going back to them and open this treasure trove of art and storytelling to take me back to my childhood. Its timeless and while I would have loved more Tintin books to come, I hope today's generation of kids values this world treasure in pop-culture.
