My love for Tintin continues. Ever since I made the cover for 'Explorers on the Moon', I have been wanting to make all the covers of Tintin. So it was natural for me to pick up the prequel of the first cover I made - 'Destination Moon'. On the looks of it, it seemed like a simple task. But when I started putting the pencil to the paper, it took the wind out of me. The level of intricate details in this single cover is mind boggling. I have a new found respect for Herge after this. It took massive amount of time just to complete this, and to think Herge made an entire graphic series with such level of detailing. Hats off! Guess that's the reason Tintin is generation agnostic and all the new comers fall in love with this graphic novel just as much as we did in our childhood.
P.S. - The number plate on the jeep is intentionally left blank so that I can add customisation for the one who would like to purchase it. Be it a name or a birthday or anything which can fit into that tiny space and still mean a lot to the person receiving it.
