The moment I saw this photograph, I knew I had to recreate in pencil one day. Everything about this image is perfect. The dive is exactly vertical, the splash is smooth and the body contours aligned perfectly. What attracted me to this photo apart from its perfect nature is the minimalism of it. It's devoid of noise. Just the diver and the last of diving performed perfectly. Even the massive bubble splash that typically happens is missing. For me it signified a perfect dive. That also posed a huge challenge in getting the sketch as perfect as the image. 
The biggest creative block I had was of drawing humans. In the endeavor of constantly challenging myself, I finally took up that task. Ofcourse a lot of encouragement from family and friends helped. So i decided... why not make it the biggest piece I have ever made? Lets break all the barriers!
