As a kid, my memory of Lions is the movie 'The Lion King'. Everything around Lions was shaped up by that movie. As I grew up I couldn't help but get fascinated by these magnificent animals. Then I was introduced to the movie 'The Ghost and the darkness' and that raised the bar of respect for these animals as well as the fear that should be associated with them. I haven't had the privilege of seeing them upclose. But when I saw this photograph clicked by Tapan Seth, I just knew I had to sketch it. I'm hoping that someday I will get to lock eyes with these amazing beasts. I'm sure it will send a shiver down my spine.
