I vividly remember my first trip to a wildlife sanctuary with my friends. It was the JIM CORBETT National Park in India. We were very excited with the thought of seeing a Tiger. But nothing really prepares you for the feeling when you actually do. I was lucky enough to see a Tiger on my first day of the visit itself. It was an absolutely thrilling experience. One thing I can say is that there is a whole world of a difference in seeing a Tiger in captivity vs seeing it in wild.
When I saw the Tiger, he was the king and we were his subjects. He walked with absolute authority and we bowed to his presence. When our paths crossed, we stopped but he didn't. He didn't care. We were just some random subjects of his kingdom and he didn't as much as glance at us. He continued and vanished in the thick of the green jungle. All this was a measly 20-30 secs affair, but it felt like an eternity because our heart was pumping 3X times higher than its normal rate. That's the magic of this amazing creature. While I didn't get the opportunity to lock eyes with him, I always kept wondering what will I feel when I will actually do. That's what I tried capturing in this art piece aptly named 'The Hunter' by my little niece.
The hunter is locking its eyes on you. It's normal if you are feeling afraid!
