Someone asked me at the exhibition that why have I named these beautiful fishes as fighting fishes. It's so negative. She wanted to gift this to a couple and now she is rethinking just because she feels they will keep fighting if they put this up in their home :) I explained to her that while they are called Siamese fighting fishes, they are the ones who love absolute companionship. When alone they can show frustration and depression, but when together they are always in love and happy. Hence even in this artwork, they are together and not alone.
