Sometimes I wonder where we are headed with all the advancement in technology and robotics. Are we losing our emotional side to this new artificial world? If the so called 'puppets' created by us start displaying human emotions, then what will be the difference between them and us. This thought took me back to the first type of robots created by humans for their entertainment... PUPPETS. We all associate fondly with the childhood memories of puppets and hence its easy to link human emotions with them. Once such picture I came across was this, a wooden puppet hand holding a rose. I decided to name it 'Artificial Love' as both these words are contradictory in some way. Love is real and is one of the most heightened emotion that humans can display. Calling it 'Artificial' just because it is displayed by a puppet doesn't lessen the intensity of love, right? So then can the artificial beings display LOVE and come at par with us?
